About ISSA Global

A family enterprise, fifty-five years in the making.

ISSA Global is the umbrella under which three distinct entities — ISSA Group, ISSA Ventures, and the Michel Issa Foundation — share a single heritage, a single set of values, and a single sense of long-term responsibility.

A Letter from the Family

On building something that lasts.

When our father opened a single service station in Amchit in 1970, he was not building a group — he was building a livelihood, with the values he had been raised on: hard work, fairness, and an obligation to one's town. Everything that followed grew from that.

Over the decades, the work has taken many shapes. Stations became terminals, terminals became a regional platform, and the family came to carry responsibilities far beyond what was first imagined. Through all of it, we have tried to keep the original posture: to operate carefully, to honour our partners, and to remember the communities we come from.

Today, ISSA Global is three things at once. It is an operating group. It is a private investment arm. And it is a foundation that gives back to Lebanon. Each is run on its own terms, but each is held to the same standard — the one our father set, and the one we owe the next generation.

— The Issa Family

Our Story

From a single station in Amchit to a regional group.

ISSA traces its origins to 1970, when Michel Issa opened his first service station in Amchit, Lebanon. What began as a modest, hands-on enterprise grew — patiently and through every period of national difficulty — into one of the country's most established energy platforms.

Through economic upheavals and political turmoil, the family chose to stay, to invest, and to build. New business lines were added when they made sense. Strategic partnerships were entered into with care. Each step extended the original work without departing from its values.

Today, the family's interests are organised under ISSA Global: an integrated operating group, a private investment arm, and a foundation devoted to local development. The names have grown, but the way of working has not changed.

Who We Are

A family, an enterprise, and a sense of place.

ISSA Global is a privately held family enterprise headquartered in Amchit, Lebanon. The family has remained directly involved in the running of the business across two generations, balancing the long view of family ownership with the discipline of institutional management.

A family-run enterprise

Decisions are made with the long horizon of family stewardship — measured in decades, not quarters.

Rooted in Lebanon

Our headquarters, our history, and a meaningful share of our people remain in Amchit and the surrounding region.

Operationally minded

We are operators first. Every part of ISSA Global is built on hands-on management and direct accountability.

Held to one standard

Group, Ventures, and Foundation each pursue their own mandate, but all three are governed by the same set of values.

Our Philosophy

How we work.

01

Build to last

We invest in assets, partnerships, and people designed to outlive any single cycle. Permanence is the default.

02

Operate with care

Quality, safety, and integrity are not departments — they are how the work is done from the first day to the last.

03

Keep our word

Our partners — global and local — count on a posture of straightforwardness that has been earned over decades.

04

Honour the place

The communities we operate in are not a backdrop. They are part of the reason the enterprise exists.
